Shannon Larkin Profile
After leaving Virgin Records Amen where left with no way to make any money, and with a wife and kids to support Larkin had little choice but the leave Amen. He is now drumming for 'Godsmack' and now he's got a steady way to support his family. Good Luck to Shannon!
--------------------------------------------
Many people question if the rest of the band are 'as into it' as Casey. Well there is no doubt about Larkin's commitment to Amen and everything they stand for. Larkin had AMEN tattooed on his knuckles shortly after joining the band and later had 'THE END' tatooed below to show that Amen are the band he belongs to. (Oh how wrong we where!)
Another reason people say Casey stands alone, is because Casey has been seen to cut himself onstage. All you have to do to prove that wrong is to look at Larkin's knuckles and you'll see huge chunks missing! In an interview with the band Larkin said "My extremities are this (holding up the scars on his knuckles)". "It is just a self destructive thing where I beat my hands against brick walls. It usually happens when I am on tour and I start to wig out as I am missing my life at home. There are only 30 minutes onstage and everything else is time and then you just kinda go crazy and amuse yourself through alcohol and drugs which we have tried to cut back on. That is why I have stopped drinking hard liquor, as it tends to be an impetus."
